Various workshops are held in Echizen ware museum.

You can make dishes, flower vases, or accessories using 100％ local Echizen clay.

Every weekend, you can make pottery using an electric pottery wheel.

Workshops to make accessories or hand-made dishes are held during holidays and at Ceramic Village events.

Make your rice bowl using a pottery wheel

〈Amount of time required：10 minutes〉

Experience pottery-making using an electric pottery wheel.

It is easy to make a rice bowl because of its shape.

Following the instructions of a professional potter, you can make an original rice bowl in about 10 minutes.

Make the rice bowl of the shape and size you like.

Select a glaze from among three types.

Anyone above 7 years old can attend the class.

There is nothing to prepare. We will provide everything here.

Baked goods will be ready in approximately one month.

Short-term intensive pottery wheel course

Pottery lesson and pottery experience

You can receive lessons on a man-to-man basis. This is a 5-day basic class for learning how to use a pottery wheel （2 hours/day）.

You can learn the entire process from beginning to end, including wedging, forming using a pottery wheel, base making, finishing, and decoration.

A professional instructor will help you complete a piece of pottery to your satisfaction.

Anyone above 12 years old can attend the class.

Bring an apron to cover your clothes which may get dirty.

We can provide all the materials for you.

The cost of firing of a piece of pottery （within the size of 30 cm × 30 cm） is included.An additional fee of 1,100 yen （tax included） per piece is required to get extra pieces fired.

About 1 month is required after the last class to finish firing.
