He pursues the beauty of utility with a motto of "Slightly modern everyday tableware".
He uses the technique of in-spray decoration, kneading, inlay, and white slip coat to create works utilizing the good properties of clay in Echizen.
Biography
- 1973
Born in Torihama, former Mikata-cho, Fukui Prefecture
- 1996
Graduated from Art Course, Education Department, Tokoha University
Studied under Shinichi Aoshima who specialized in Shizuhata ware (Shizuoka) while in school
After that, he studied Echizen ware
- 2001
Established Yawaragi Kobo
- 2001
Won a prize in craftwork division of Tsuruga City Comprehensive Art Exhibition
- 2003
Won a prize in craftwork division of Tsuruga City Comprehensive Art Exhibition
- 2013
Won a craft and art prize in the 45th Japan Fine Arts Exhibition
- 2014
Received Mayor Award in craftwork division of Tsuruga City Comprehensive Art Exhibition

Recommended as being qualified for an exemption of examining in craftwork division of Tsuruga City Comprehensive Art Exhibition
